Suffolk Children’s University is a county wide scheme supported by Suffolk County Council and is part of the National Children’s University. One of SCU’s aims is to formally recognise, reward and celebrate the commitment that young people (aged 5 -14) make in attending extra curricular activities.
To date over 13,000 young people across the county registered with SCU. They are experiencing new and exciting opportunities by taking part in a varied menu of activities, are meeting new friends, gaining self confidence and improving self esteem all whilst working towards special achievement certificates.
As an activity provider chalkstone karate club is part of SCU. Registration allows us to accredit the activities that you provide for young people after school, at weekends and in school holidays.
The benefits of being part of SCU are as follows:

Both of the websites are accessible by general public so possible increased interest and membership of young people attending your activity

Contribution to young people’s health and well being
